Information for Promoters

Melksham Assembly Hall is a 450 capacity venue located in the heart of Melksham. Our venue is ideal for all varieties of event and our professional team is always ready to put on a first class show.

Ticket Sales

The majority of ticket sales will be done through Ticketsource, though arrangements can also be made for other vendors to sell tickets if required. Tickets will also be sold through the Melksham Tourist Information centre.

Auditorium

Capacity​

  • Theatre style seating of 380

  • Cabaret seating of 150-180 depending on layout

  • 450 capacity for events that only have "standing room"

  • All seating is on the same level. Tiered seating is not available

  • Numbering of rows and chairs is the responsibility of the venue

PRS (Performing Rights Society) and Box Office fees would need to be paid at rates applicable.

  • Monitors: Hall only keeps 1x Monitor. Extra monitors available to bring in at prior notice

  • CD playback: On stage with Ipod input. CD playback in rear sound booth with Ipod input

  • Microphones: 2x Sennheiser handheld EW100 G3 radio mics, 1x Sennheiser head mic with EW100 G3 belt

       pack, 2x Sennheiser ew100 receivers

  • Links/patches: 24 pair XLR multi-core from stage to rear of hall (16 sends, 8 returns), 2x Cat6 screened

       links from stage to rear of hall, line input into hall system available on stage or at rear of hall, Soundcraft 8
       channel mixer in rear booth

  • Please note - This venue does not keep any DI boxes, cables,mic stands or a mixer above 8 channel.

       However the venue can bring all this in for events by prior notice. Please make the venue aware if any
       of this is required when booking.

  • Main projector: 'Christie 2000M' 13,000 lumen cinema series HD (2k) projector flown mid hall, VGA

       input at front of hall, HDMI input at rear of hall

  • Main Screen: 8-metre diagonal motorized screen (screen cannot be used when the stage is in use)

  • Stage Projector: 5000 lumen Infocus HD widescreen projector, VGA & HDMI input on stage

  • Stage Screen: 180" diagonal widescreen motorized

  • DVD/Blu-Ray player and Doremi Cinema server


Power

  • Rear of hall: 1x 63A TP+N socket, 1x 32A single phase socket, 1x 16A single phase socket, 6x 13A sockets

  • Stage: 1x 63A TP+N socket, 1x 32A single phase socket, 1x 16A single phase socket, 6x 13A sockets

  • Please note - The venue does not keep any C Form cables, you will need to bring your own if you require

       power. Cables are available to be brought in by prior notice.

Lighting and Stage Dimensions

Dressing Rooms

  • There are two dressing rooms, both equipped with lit mirrors and toilets

  • There is a small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities available 

Parking

There is no on site parking available.

The closest parking is in King Street car park. This is a pay and display car park from 08:00-18:00. During this time the rates are as follows:

Monday - Saturday​

  • Up to 1 Hour £0.40

  • Up to 2 Hours £1.30

  • Up to 3 Hours £2.30

  • Up to 4 Hours £3.10

  • Up to 5 Hours £4.10

  • All day £6.00

Sunday

  • Per visit: £0.70

Charges apply for Blue Badge holders from 1 September 2022.

After 18:00 all spaces are free.

Maximum stay: All day - No return in 3 hours
